No. You cannot choose your Matrimony ID. Only system will generate a Matrimony ID for each profile.
Only verified phone numbers can be displayed to the members. This is to avoid junk or invalid phone number entries. A profile with verified phone number creates genuine feel for other members.
This increases your chance of getting more marriage proposals.
You can request to resend the PIN number SMS or you can place a call request for IVR verification. You can also call our toll free number and verify.
Uploading a photo will increase your chance of getting best response from prospective matches. Profiles with photos get 20 times more response since members are likely to see profiles with photos. You can also upload your Facebook profile photo now.

Don't display your contact details in your profile, except in the space provided for your contact details.

Partner preference will help you find the life partner who exactly matches your expectations based on a set of questions. Based on your partner preference criteria, regular match updates will be sent to your email to find your perfect life partner.
This is to prevent misuse of the site and also to avoid invalid or fake profiles.
'My Matrimony' is your profile page which has all the information related to your profile.
Conversation is a new feature that includes all the interactions you had with other members. This includes personal and template messages, requests and chat messages that you have received as well as sent.
You can view all your interactions with a particular member at one place and you can take corresponding actions for each it. This will help you understand where you stand in terms of conversation with that respective member.
This is because you have not yet initiated any conversation like request or messages with other members. Use search features like 'Latest matches', 'Members who might like you' to contact interested members and see the conversations that are flowing in.
You can search for members by selecting their name's first letter in the 'show by alphabets' list and you can see their profile or
You can also select the drop down next to the alphabets list, which filters and shows member profiles according to Latest actions, Sent & Received actions etc.
Here you can see not just the conversations but you also have the options for adding to favourites, sending requests and getting to know more about that member. 'Flip for little more info' will show more details about them.
The close button has 3 options:
Remove from the list- You can use this option to remove a particular member's conversation panel from 'Conversations' list.
Block profile- You can use this option to block a particular member from contacting you.
Report profile- You can use this option to report a member only if they have used any abusive language or if their profile has fake or junk information.

Pin is a new feature which helps you get attention from other members. You can pin your profile in other member's profile, so that they can visit your profile.
Premium and free members can use this PIN option.
'Click on 'Search' and select regular or advanced search. Regular search has only basic important criteria to be set where as advanced search will have more criteria to choose, making your search results appropriate.
Apart from these, the system selects matches especially for you based on your partner preference and profile details and gives the list of matches in 'Latest matches', 'yet to be viewed', 'member who might like you', 'mutual matches' etc.
If you know a member's Matrimony ID, then you can type that in the 'My Matrimony' page search column and find that member's profile.
Yes. You can save your search. Once you hit the 'Search' button, your search results will appear along with an option to save search. Give a name to your search and click save button.
Your search fields are almost filled if you have completed your partner preference. This is for your easy access of search options.
We match members based on their profile information and partner preference.
Latest Matches- will show matches that are added up everyday based on your preference.
Yet to be viewed- will show all the potentially compatible matches that you haven't seen.
Mutual Matches- will show members whose partner preference matches your profile and your preference matches their profile.
The profiles matching you will be sent as Email to you regularly. The information in these emails will be stored in the Match watch archive.
The new profiles that are added will be sent as a Email to members based on their partner preference. Thus you will be intimated through mail to email address that you have registered with us.
You can view that from the search results basic view or in the view profile of that particular member where the online status will be green.
No. you cannot see who viewed your profile but you can see the number of people viewed your profile.
As a free member, you can add 3 members to your favourites list where as a premium member can add 1000 members to their favourites list.
You can type their matrimony ID in the 'My Matrimony' page and view their profile.
Mark as viewed is an option for members to select profiles as viewed if they do not wish to see those profiles again in their search results without viewing their full profile.
There might be 2 reasons:
You might have not set your partner preference. If you have not completed your 'partner preference' during registration, then our automatic matching system will select matches based on the minimum information you have provided. You can go to 'Edit profile' and set your partner preference as this will give you exact matches
Your partner preference might be wide. Try to set 'partner preference' according to your expectations and get potentially compatible matches
You partner preference might be too narrow. Try to broaden your partner preference parameters since even small adjustment can bring in a vast number of matching profiles. Also make sure you set the preference moderately without compromising your beliefs and expectations.
Yes, you can block unwanted profiles. Free members can block one profile, where as premium members can block 1000 profiles.
Contacting members you like is simple.
• If you need more information like photo or horoscope, you can request for it.
• Send message (template or personalized message) to the member you like. If they are also interested, you will get a reply from them.
• If you do not get a response, you can send them a reminder.
• If they are online, you can initiate chat with them.
• You can share your Email address or phone number through chat or personalized message.
• You can also go to their profile, view their phone number and call them to talk and take the proposal furthers.

Communications is a feature where you can find your entire message sequence with members. This also includes chat and requests.
Messages that you send will be stored under 'Sent' option and messages you get will be stored under 'Received' option. This is similar for your requests also.
This is because you might have not yet contacted any members. Do initiate contact with matching members via messages, requests and chat.
For your easy navigation, we have sorted your messages on the 'show' option as
'Unread messages' - showing all the messages you've yet to read.
'Read messages' - showing all the messages that you've read before.
'Replied messages' - showing all the messages for which you've replied.
'Accepted messages' - showing all the template messages that you've accepted.
'Declined messages' - showing all the template messages that you've declined.
'On Hold messages' - showing all the template messages that you needed time/ info to decide.
We have also sorted the requests you have sent and received as 'Phone requests', 'photo requests' and 'Horoscope requests'.
Messages are of two types: Personalized message and Template message.
As a free member you can only send a template message by choosing any one of the pre-typed text to interested members.
As a premium (paid) member, you have the privilege to use both types of messages. You can either write your own message (personalized message) or you can choose any one of pre-typed message (Template message) to interested members.
You can view messages by clicking the 'read now' button and once when the message opens, you can read and respond by clicking the 'Reply' button. Once you have finished typing the message, hit the 'send' button.
Yes. You can respond to template messages by clicking 'read now' button and once when the message opens, you can read and respond by clicking on 'Accept' 'Decline' or 'Need time/ info' button.
You can send the following requests to members if you wish to know more about them
Add photo - you can request members to add their photo if their profile does not have a picture.
Add horoscope - you can request members to add horoscope if they have not yet added.
Verify phone number - you can request members to verify their phone number if their phone number is not verified.
Note: If you are a free member, you cannot view other member's phone number even if they have verified it.
View photo - request members to grant you the access to view their photo.
View horoscope - request members to grant you the access to view their horoscope.
View phone number- request members to grant you the access to view their phone number.
If you wish to show your protected information like photo, phone number and horoscope based on members' requests, you can give permission by clicking 'grant' button.
If you wish to remove your granted access, you can do so by clicking 'Revoke' button under communications or you can also change this in your privacy settings.
Only premium (paid) members can protect their photo, horoscope and phone number. Once you have become premium member, you can go to 'Edit profile' and hide your information.
As a free member, you can send template messages. Apart from that, you can send add photo, horoscope and phone number verification requests.
The possible reason could be that, they wouldn't have logged in or viewed your messages. You can send a reminder to them by clicking 'Send Reminder' button in the sent messages of 'Communications' page.
You can see the 'Online- Chat now' button active in the view profile if the member is online. Click that button and start chatting. You can also find your matches online in the 'Chat with members' panel on the bottom right of the site.
Yes. You can register, search, receive matches, and participate in groups as a free member. But if you wish to communicate, then you should become a premium member.

You can change your password from edit profile or from Account settings.

You can click 'View profile' button from 'My Matrimony' page or you can click the 'View profile' link from 'Edit profile' page.

You have options to add from your computer as well as from your Facebook account.
You can add up to 10 photos to your profile.
After uploading, your photo will undergo validation process which might take up to 24 hrs. Once validation gets over, your photo will appear to everyone.
However, your photo is visible only to you even before validation.

our offices. We will upload your photo absolutely FREE! If you want your photos back, enclose a self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage.
Your photo might be more than 7MB or its format might not be compatible with our software. But we can upload it for you.
If your photo is not in GIF/JPG/PNG format or if the image size is more than 7MB, e-mail your photos to us and we will upload it absolutely FREE!
If you cannot upload your horoscope then you can generate it from our software for absolutely FREE. Kindly provide your birth information like time of birth, place of birth etc which are essential for generating it.

Yes. You can edit your phone number from Edit profile or account settings. After editing, you should verify the new phone number also.
Yes. You can hide your profile temporarily for sometime by selecting 'De-activate profile' option from edit profile. If you hide your profile, there will be no communication between you and other members.
